Vive e lavora a Termoli (CB). Si diploma all’Istituto d’Arte e poi indirizza il suo percorso formativo verso l’architettura. Nel 1976 fonda con alcuni artisti di Termoli Gruppo solare, con l’intento di approfondire lo studio del segno nella tradizione artistica popolare molisana. Dalla fine degli anni ’70 la sua ricerca artistica si indirizza verso un’analisi estetica legata all’indagine sull’ambiente e sullo spazio, soprattutto urbano, attraverso istallazioni e performance che hanno spesso intenti sociali o di denuncia, come la performance del 1978 a Termoli contro il nucleare. Nel 1980, allo scioglimento del Gruppo solare, crea il Laboratorio sperimentale di pittura immaginista per ragazzi. Alla metà degli anni ’80 redige con Saquella il foglio Verifica ’85 ed entra a far parte, con vari artisti del Molise, del Gruppo di orientamento. Dal 1998 Nino Barone è socio fondatore del movimento “Archetyp’Art” che si occupa della diffusione di diverse attività artistiche nel territorio molisano ed ospita, nella galleria omonima con sede a Termoli, molti eventi e rassegne d’arte. A partire dal 2004, in collaborazione con il Liceo Artistico “Jacovitti” di Termoli, è promotore del Tracker Art, convegno sulla nuova critica d’arte italiana, ormai giunto alla 7° edizione, che vede messi a confronto artisti e critici d’arte provenienti da tutta Italia. Giurato nelle edizioni 2013 e 2014.
Lives and works in Termoli (CB), he gets high school degree in artistic school then he’s moving to architecture. In 1976 ha establishes the Gruppo Solare, with other local artists, with the will to investigate the sign of the artistic popolar production of Molise. From the end of the 70’s his artistic research is oriented to an aesthetic analysis bond to an environment and urban spaces investigation, through installations and performances with social statement purposes, such as the 1978 performance against Nuclear power in Termoli. In 1980, after the dismembering of the Gruppo Solare, he creates the “Laboratorio Sperimentale di Pittura Immaginista per ragazzi”. In the middle of the 80’s he wrote, with Saquella, the Verifica ’85 paper and joins, with other artists from Molise, the Gruppo di Orientamento. From 1998 Nino is founder of the “Archetyp’Art” movement, that deals of dissemination of several artistic activities in the land of Molise and that hosts, in the homonymous Gallery, established in Termoli, events and art reviews. Starting from 2004, in association with “Jacovitti” High School from Termoli, he promotes the Tracker Art, meeting about the new artistic critic in Italy, that ha reached the 7th edition, with artists from all Italy. Jury member in 2013 and 2014 editions.
